One of the premiere annual fundraising events on the East End, the Parrish Art Museum’s Midsummer Party, is scheduled for Saturday
More than 500 guests are expected to attend a cocktail and dinner party at the museum in Southampton early in the evening, and 550 will attend the “After 10” party, complete with DJ and dancing.
Each year, the museum honors a person or group. This year, the honorees will be the 21 founding members of the new Parrish Art Museum that’s being built in Water Mill.
Among them are Wall Street investor Stanley Druckenmiller and his wife, Fiona; Norman and Liliane Peck, and Dorothy Lichtenstein, widow of pop artist Roy Lichtenstein.
Individual tickets are $1,000 for the early part of the event and $150 for the “After 10” party. Tables range from $10,000 to $25,000.
The museum, on Job’s Lane, currently has an exhibit of the works of Canadian artist Dorothea Rockburne.
