For the second time in less than a month law enforcement officials in Suffolk are looking for help after the theft of a popular brand of boots.

Detectives from the Riverhead Police Department, along with Suffolk County Crime Stoppers, released information Friday morning about the theft of 250 pairs of Ugg boots from a storage facility in Calverton last month.

Between 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 19 and 3:45 p.m. on Nov. 23, one or more unknown persons forcibly entered a storage unit at Dollar Storage, 2080 River Rd., and removed Ugg Essential style boots of various sizes and colors.

On Nov. 16 Suffolk County cops released surveillance photos of a woman who allegedly stole three pairs of Ugg boots from a Dix Hills DSW location on Aug. 10. A Suffolk police spokesperson confirmed Friday morning that no arrest had been made in that case.

Anyone with information about either crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 800-220-TIPS.
