Nassau police try to find man who robbed Hicksville gas station

Nassau County police are looking for a man who robbed a gas station with a gun in Hicksville on Friday night, authorities said Sunday.

Police said the robbery occurred about 8 p.m. at the Citgo gasoline station, 1 Barter Lane. A man, described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt entered the gas station and demanded cash, while displaying a black handgun. The man fled on foot with an unknown amount of money. No injuries were reported, police said.

Detectives said anyone with information could call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477.
