New commanding officer at Coast Guard Station

At a change of command ceremony at the Eatons Neck Coast Guard Station Friday, Lt. Robert D. Craighead was succeeded by Chief Warrant Officer Stephen C. Pollock.

Craighead, 41, who had been commanding officer since 2008, is headed to Hawaii to serve as operations officer on the cutter Rush.

It's the first command for Pollock, 35, a Baltimore native who had been stationed in North Carolina since 2006. He has also served on the cutters Gallatin in Charleston, S.C., Point Glass in Dania, Fla., Vigorous in Cape May, N.J., stations in Charleston, S.C., and St. Inigoes in St. Inigoes, Md.
