If you checked the Town of Oyster Bay website lately for when the town leaf pickup program ends, you probably noticed that the calendar lists Nov. 30 as the final day. Not so.

As noted in a statement by Town Councilman Joe Muscarella, the program was actually extended to Friday, Dec. 3

For pickup, place up to 20 bags of leaves at the curb on regular SORT recycling days (it varies depending on the address). Additional bags will be picked up by highway or sanitation departments the following day.

For further information about leaf collection, contact the Sanitation and  Recycling Collection Division at (516) 677-5848, (516) 677-5849 or (516) 677-5850. Or contact the Highway Department at (516) 677-5757.
