Shark sightings off Suffolk's shores mean two beaches will remain off-limits to swimmers until the weekend, a county park official said Wednesday.

Beach staff and park police are monitoring Cupsogue Beach County Park in Westhampton and nearby Smith Point County Park in Mastic Beach after sharks were seen swimming off Cupsogue Tuesday and Wednesday, said Tracey Bellone, deputy commissioner for the County Department of Parks, Recreation & Conservation.
