More than 100 businesses and agencies will be looking for employees at a private-sector jobs fair to be held Tuesday at the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Mitchel Field from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
County Executive Edward Mangano said the 109 employers will be seeking people to fill all types of positions, from entry level to management, licensed professionals and technicians.
There is no charge for admission and parking is free at the museum, which is part of Museum Row on Charles Lindbergh Boulevard, west of the Nassau Coliseum and east of Quentin Roosevelt Boulevard.
Participating employers run the gamut from ABC Supply Company, Bethpage Federal Credit Union, GEICO, Ikea, NYC Transit, the MTA, United Health Care, Whole Foods and Cablevision, which owns Newsday.
“Attracting new employers, supporting small business development and expanding our job base is essential to Nassau’s future,” Mangano said in a news release.
