The Society for the Preservation of Long Island Antiquities and the Preservation League of New York State are co-sponsoring a program on energy-efficiency in old buildings.
The two-day program, scheduled for Aug. 4 and 5, is designed for architects, builders and others interested in making older buildings energy efficient while preserving their historic character.
Classes will be held at the Sustainability Institute at Molloy College’s Suffolk Center at 7180 Republic Airport in East Farmingdale, and a field session will be at the Rock Hall Museum at 199 Broadway, Lawrence. The fee for the program is $75, and people can sign up online at nyserdacodetraining.com.
