The incorporated Village of Quogue is in the Town of Southampton on the South Shore. As of 2010, it had population of 967. The hamlet of East Quogue has about 5,000 year-round residents.

The Quogue Wildlife Refuge was founded in 1934

The Quogue Wildlife Refuge was founded in 1934 in East Quogue and features seven miles of trails, natural wildlife and animals that are permanently injured and receive care at the refuge. It is open seven days a week from sunrise to sunset. (April 16, 2012)
