Riverhead ‘Bagged Leaves’ program continues
The Town of Riverhead’s “Bagged Leaves” pilot program is entering its final weeks.
The program, which started in October, ends Dec. 31.
Riverhead residents, with proper ID, can still pick up biodegradable bags at the Riverhead Highway Department, 1177 Osborn Ave., from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Maggio Sanitation Services will pick up leaves that are bagged in either paper or plastic. Landscapers are not permitted to participate.
