Town boards meet across the Island

Most town boards are meeting today across the Island.

In Brookhaven, the board is set to discuss Supervisor Mark Lesko’s proposed budget for 2011 and vote on whether to accept it as a working document. Separately, the board will vote to schedule a public hearing, currently proposed for Nov 4.

The board meets at 5 p.m. at Town Hall, at 1 Independence Hill, Farmingville.

The Huntington town board will also discuss its 2011 budget today.

A public hearing on the budget is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Town Hall, at 100 Main St., Huntington.

The Smithtown town board will meet at 2 p.m. today at Town Hall, at 99 West Main St.

The Riverhead town board is set to meet at 2 p.m. at Town Hall, 200 Howell Ave, Riverhead.

The Town of North Hempstead's board meets today at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall.

The Islip town board meets at 2 p.m. at Town Hall, 655 Main St., Islip.

The East Hampton, Hempstead and Oyster Bay town boards met earlier in the day.
