Rock Hall Museum in Lawrence to host 27th annual country fair

The historic Rock Hall Museum in Lawrence will host its 27th annual country fair on Saturday and Sunday.

This year, the museum of the Town of Hempstead will host a Civil War Encampment with the 30th Virginia Infantry Company B. The museum is located at 199 Broadway in Lawrence.

The fair, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., also includes a harvest market, scarecrow making, pumpkin patch, food court, pony rides, animal farm and craft area for children.

There will be Colonial-era re-enactments that will include demonstrations and hands-on displays of 18th century cooking, games, music and craft-making. There also will be regularly scheduled tours of the museum, cellar exhibits,  cold storage area and wine cellar.
