Sachem School District administrators and the Smithtown town assessor are among the speakers scheduled to appear Thursday night at a meeting of the Nesconset-Sachem Civic Association.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Nesconset branch of the Smithtown public library, 148 Smithtown Blvd.

Sachem Superintendent James Nolan and Associate Superintendent for Business Bruce Singer are scheduled to discuss the district’s budget, according to a meeting agenda furnished by the civic association.

Town Assessor Peter Johnson is set to discuss subjects such as equalization rates, the agenda says.

County Legis. John M. Kennedy Jr. (R-Nesconset) and his staff are expected to discuss several issues, including a project to straighten Smithtown Boulevard, the Lake Ronkonkoma watershed and the property formerly occupied by the Bavarian Inn.
