Parents in the Commack school district were relieved Tuesday morning after learning that the school buses for the district would be running as usual.
Last week, the district called parents explaining that due to a private labor dispute at Baumann Bus, there was a potential of no bus service this week. In calls to families the district said that there was a contingency plan in place but encouraged parents to have a back up plan as well.
The buses ran as scheduled on Monday and Tuesday morning the district sent out the following e-mail to parents:
Good morning. We are pleased to let you know that buses will run as usual. The private labor dispute at Baumann Bus has been resolved.
