Sea Cliff considers fee for electricians

Sea Cliff is considering a measure that would add electricians to the list of tradespeople working in the community who need to register with the North Shore village.

“It’s just to level the playing field,” said Village Superintendent Drew Lawrence.

A public hearing on the matter will be held at the Jan. 10 village board meeting.

If the measure is passed, Lawrence said the village would charge a $50 annual fee to support the maintenance of a database of license and insurance information.
