Visitors to Sea Cliff’s official website will soon find a revamped digital introduction to village services, history and leader biographies.
The updated seacliff-ny.gov, slated to go live as soon as Wednesday, “will be easier to navigate, contain more content and will be an Internet presence that we can all be proud of,” Mayor Bruce Kennedy said. He unveiled the design at Monday’s village board meeting.
The site’s homepage masthead will feature an image of the waterfront and drop-down menus. The website hasn’t been redesigned in at least three years, Kennedy said.
The current site’s most recent link is to the board of trustee meeting minutes dated “05/04/2009.”
Sea Cliff resident Linda McCormack designed the new site at the cost of a couple hundred dollars, John Mirando, director of public works, said Tuesday.
Kennedy on Monday said he and other village officials are looking forward to using new “@seacliff-ny.gov” email addresses that accompany the website. Many of them until now have been using AOL and Gmail email addresses for village business, Mirando said.
