 The Shinnecock Indian Nation has yet another hurdle to overcome en route to its goal of federal recognition.

After the Connecticut Coalition for Gaming Jobs filed an objection last week, a second group -- a splinter faction of the Montaukett Tribe -- came forward Monday.

The Shinnecocks were supposed to celebrate their first full day of recognition Monday, but now must wait until a judge reviews the claims. A tribal spokeswoman declined to comment.
