Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota is to announce Wednesday the arrest of 20 suspects in an East End drug ring that sold an estimated $2 million a year in heroin.

The suspects include residents of Mattituck, Laurel, Greenport, Riverhead, Coram, Flanders, Calverton and Southampton. 

According to a news release from Spota, the drugs were delivered by suppliers from New York City.

Spota is to announce details in a news conference Wednesday morning. The sting was conducted by the East End Drug Task Force, a multi-jurisdictional agency.
