Long Islanders are abuzz this morning over the tale of Steven Slater, the JetBlue flight attendant who officials said slid out of his plane at JFK on the emergency chute after getting angry when a rude passenger hit him in the head with a piece of luggage.
Slater only added to his folk legend by reportedly stopping to grab a few beers from the galley on his way out.
Who hasn't fantasized about making a dramatic, memorable exit from a frustrating or unfair moment at work?
Via a giant inflatable slide, no less! And after allegedly cursing out the passenger and everyone else over the loudspeaker.
But little things like mortgages to pay, cooler heads and not wanting to wind up in jail keep most of us from carrying through....
What do you think of what Steven Slater did? Did he go too far? Have you ever hit the breaking point like this at work, or had a coworker who did? Tell us in the comments, below.
