Donald Trump was in court again Monday in his ongoing battle with the state to build a ritzy catering hall and restaurant at Jones Beach.
Oral arguments by Trump’s attorney and state Attorney General Andrew Cuomo’s office were presented in state appellate court in Brooklyn on a lower court ruling that said Trump did not need an extra permit to build a basement in a coastal flood zone. The state is seeking to overturn that ruling.
Trump appeared at the half-hour proceeding but did not comment, said his attorney, Steven Schlesinger.
Schlesinger said he expects a decision on the appeal by the end of June, before the court goes into summer recess.
The attorney general's office did not return phone calls seeking comment.
