Newsday's Erin Geismar is on day two of our series, Town Focus: The Ronkonkomas.

On Monday, she visited young singer-songwriter-musician Matthew Relevo at his home in Holbrook where he spoke with her about his music, which got him to the final round of "Z100’s" Hometown Hero contest.

Unfortunately, Relevo found out last night that he didn’t win and won’t be playing at Jingle Ball on Friday.

But you can still hear the Sachem North student perform. Later today, we’ll post a profile of Relevo and a video of him performing.

Today, Geismar will meet with a member of the Lake Ronkonkoma Historical Society at the society's museum on Hawkins Avenue for a lesson on Ronkonkoma’s past.

On Monday, we got some great suggestions and comments from members of the Ronkonkoma community. Keep them coming, we’re considering every one.
