Town notes: Oyster Bay budget passes, B'haven meets

Newsday's Paul LaRocco writes that the Town of Oyster Bay passed its 2011 budget with a 3.5 percent tax hike during a board meeting this morning, making it one of the few Long Island towns to approve an increase this year.

Meanwhile, the Town of Brookhaven board will meet at 5 p.m. today at Brookhaven Town Hall Auditorium, 1 Independence Hall, Farmingville. The town's 2001 budget, which calls for the elimination of 68 workers, will the the prime topic of discussion.
