Wanted: JFK alumni to get involved

John F. Kennedy High School officials and graduates are reaching out to alumni in an effort to organize class reunions and support the JFK school community.

Members of the Bellmore-Merrick JFK Alumni Board and Committee are setting up an official not-for-profit corporation and want to involve school alumni, said Ronald Steiger, a member of the committee from the class of 1972.

Steiger said the purpose of the association will be to give back to the school, maintain a continuing relationship with the community, channel the potential for alumni service and renew friendships. The group is seeking a representative from each class since 1968 to join the committee.

Alumni interested in being part of the alumni database should contact Eileen Connolly, assistant principal at JFK High School, at econnol@bellmore-merrick.k12.ny.us.

They should send their current name (including middle initial), year of graduation, name at graduation (if different), email address, street address and contact phone number.
