In its September issue, CNNMoney names the Village of Westbury one of the top 25 places to be rich and single.
The North Shore community less than 30 miles from Manhattan’s Penn Station ranked No. 18 on the list and was the only place from New York.
"New Yorkers who want to get to know — instead of hide from — their neighbors, are drawn to this leafy Long Island suburb," CNNMoney said on its website about Westbury.
The magazine looked at communities where census data showed at least 30 percent of the population was single and then ranked those from highest income to lowest. First on the list was Manhattan Beach, Calif.
According to CNNMoney, 31.5 percent of the population in Westbury is single and the 2010 median family income was $103,272.
"Many communities on Long Island are vying to be places that attract young people, and Westbury has worked hard for many years to develop the kinds of housing options, services, recreational activities and overall environment that attracts younger residents," Mayor Peter I. Cavallaro said in a news release.
