Town Board: Brookhaven’s town board will hold a work session today at 1 p.m. at Town Hall during which it will discuss deeding land for a public 9/11 memorial in Diamond in the Pines Park and also prepare for Tuesday’s Carmans River plan public hearing. Assisted Living: The Smithtown Town Board holds a public hearing during today’s 7 p.m. board meeting at the Smithtown Senior Center (420 Middle Country Rd.), during which it will hear comments about a special use permit for an assisted living facility in Nesconset.
