The Kennedy Plaza Farmers Market will be partially open during winter, City of Long Beach officials and market organizers recently announced.
The market will be open on Wednesdays only, from Dec. 14 through Feb. 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. During winter, the usual outdoor market will be relocated indoors to the lobby at Long Beach City Hall at Kennedy Plaza, 1 W. Chester St.
The outdoor market is in Kennedy Plaza at City Hall, next to the Long Island Rail Road station. The last day outside will be tomorrow, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Farmers will then take a hiatus until the winter market opens in December. They will return outdoors at Kennedy Plaza in the spring, officials said.
Farmers at the market sell vegetables, pasta, pickles, meats, breads and more.
