Suffolk detectives are on the hunt for a woman who made off with cash this morning from a North Patchogue bank.

Police said a 55- to 60-year-old woman approached a teller at the Astoria Federal Savings bank on Route 112 with a note demanding cash. After the teller handed over the money, the woman fled on foot.

Investigators said the suspect is a thin woman with red hair. She was weearing sunglasses and a red long-sleeved shirt.
