The Long Island Rail Road restored service between Huntington and Hicksville on Saturday evening after a tree fell on the track near the Cold Springs Harbor station, LIRR officials said.
Service stopped at about 5 p.m. and resumed shortly before 6:30 p.m. once the tree was cleared.
Trains were more than an hour late between Huntington and Penn Station, the LIRR said.
LIRR officials ordered bus service between Hicksville and Huntington during the delays.
Other, unrelated delays were reported in Babylon after trains skipped stops in Woodside due to police activity.
