LIRR trains back on schedule after delays, cancellations

The Long Island Rail Road is back on schedule after some trains were canceled or delayed due to a disabled Amtrak train west of the Woodside station in Queens, the commuter railroad said.

The delays started about 7 p.m. and affected the entire LIRR system during rush hour. 

The LIRR tweeted about 8:30 p.m. that Amtrak crews had removed the train.
