For the second day in a row, the Long Island Rail Road had morning rush hour delays due to signal trouble west of Woodside station on Wednesday.
There were delays of about 5 minutes for westbound trains for about four hours, the Long Island Rail Road said in service advisories. Crews were working to repair the issue as of 10:50 a.m., when service returned to being on or close to schedule.
The LIRR first reported the issue just before 6:50 a.m.

On Tuesday, signal trouble near Woodside caused delays from about 6:20 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
