The Long Island Rail Road said there will be several schedule changes this weekend as it tests a newly installed signal system in Queens.
The testing, which started Friday night, will affect train service until 5 a.m. Monday, the railroad said.
Some departure times may change, and train service on some branches will be adjusted, the railroad said.
The LIRR urged riders to check special timetables on the web at web.mta.info/lirr/Timetable for a complete weekend schedule.
The new signal system will be put into use this spring at Harold Interlocking — a web of 14 railroad tracks where several LIRR branches intersect with Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor.
