Driver injured in crash on Route 27 in Southampton, cops say

A GMC Suburban crashed Saturday night, shutting down a portion of Route 27 outside an antique store, Yesterday’s Treasures, in Southampton, police officials said.

Driver Kara Kerly was taken to Southampton Hospital after the single-vehicle crash at 10:05 p.m., according to Southampton Police Department Sergeant Michael Joyce.

Police were still investigating the cause of the accident.

It was unclear how much of Route 27 was shut down and for how long.
