Uniondale shooting death, robbery in Commack

Nassau police and their Crime Stoppers department are looking for those who they say are responsible for the shooting death of a Queens man.

Police say at about 1 a.m. on June 13, Jason Crafton, 27, was shot to death at the corner of Fullerton Avenue and Southern Parkway in Uniondale outside a large party.

Suffolk police and their Crime Stoppers department are looking a couple who they say stole a purse from a woman in a Commack parking lot.

On May 27, the man approached the victim outside Marshall's store on Henry Street and engaged her in a brief conversation and left. He quickly returned with a woman, who was driving a dark-colored car. He got out and grabbed the victim's purse, and then left in the car.

Later that evening, the suspects were seen on surveillance video trying to use the victim's credit card to buy items at a 7-Eleven store on the corner of Larkfield Road and Clay Pitts Road in East Northport.

The man is described as 5-feet, 5-inches tall with a thin build. The woman is described as heavy set with long, frizzy dark hair. She was wearing a long summer dress with a bold print.
