Voters head to polls Tuesday to elect Nassau DA, Suffolk executive and 160 other races

Voters across Long Island will go to the polls Tuesday to elect a new Nassau County district attorney, determine whether Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone will get a second term and cast ballots in 160 other races for town and county offices.

All seats on the Nassau and Suffolk County legislatures also are up for grabs, as are nine of 13 town supervisor posts, two mayors' posts and a variety of town and judicial positions.

Polls will be open in both counties from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Voters who have questions about their polling places or who need other ballot information can call 516-571-2411 in Nassau and 631-852-4500 in Suffolk.
