Wanted: Bank robbery; liquor store theft

Nassau County Crime Stoppers and its Police Robbery Squad are looking for a man and a woman in connection with a bank robbery in Garden City.

Police say that at 7:05 p.m. on Jan. 30 the suspects entered the TD Bank branch on Franklin Avenue, approached a teller and demanded money. The teller handed over an unknown amount of cash. The female suspect took the money and the pair fled toward the parking lot behind the bank.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at its toll-free and confidential hotline: 800-244-TIPS (8477), Crime Stoppers Unit Case No. 31-13. Crime Stoppers offers up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.


Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Third Precinct Crime Section officers are looking for a man suspected of stealing a bottle of whisky from an Islip Terrace store.

Police say that at 1:45 p.m. on Nov. 22 a male suspect concealed a bottle of Johnnie Walker Black Label under his sweatshirt at LQ Liquor & Wine at 64 Carleton Ave. He left the store without paying, then fled in a gray Honda Civic.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS (8477). All calls will be kept confidential.
