Wanted: Burglary attempt; theft from store

Crime Stoppers and the Nassau County Police Department are looking for a woman wanted in connection with an attempted burglary at a house in Roosevelt.

According to police, at 8:55 a.m. on Sept. 19, the suspect attempted to gain entry to a home on Horace Avenue and then fled.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers are looking for a woman wanted in connection with the theft of merchandise from a Commack store.

According to police, at 2:20 p.m. on Sept. 25, a woman attempted to use a Subway rewards card to pay for merchandise in Walmart at 85 Crooked Hill Rd. After the cashier told the suspect the Subway card was not acceptable, the woman exited the store with the merchandise, valued at approximately $300. The suspect fled in a white SUV and is described as having an average build with black hair.
