Nassau County police, its Crime Stoppers unit and the Garden City Police Department are looking for a person who allegedly purchased items from a store in East Meadow using a stolen credit card.

Police say that on Dec. 6, 2012, the legitimate credit card holder's vehicle was broken into while it was parked on Brook Street in Garden City. The victim's credit card, which had been stolen from inside the vehicle, was later used by a suspect at CVS at 1419 Hempstead Tpke.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at its toll-free and confidential hotline: 800-244-TIPS (8477) and refer to Crime Stoppers Unit Case No. 292-12. Crime Stoppers offers up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.


Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Third Precinct Crime section are looking for two suspects in connection with the theft of merchandise at a Bay Shore store.

Police say that at 5:45 p.m. on Sept. 3, 2012, two male suspects entered Kohl's, at 2040 Eastbound Sunrise Service Rd., and stole shirts and cologne.

One suspect is described as having a heavy build, black hair, a black goatee and wearing a white hat. The other suspect had short brown hair, a medium build and was wearing a white sleeveless T-shirt.

They fled in their vehicle toward Saxon Avenue.
