Wanted: Doughnut shop robbery; pharmacy robbery

The Nassau County Police Department and its Crime Stoppers unit are looking for a man wanted in connection with a robbery at a Valley Stream restaurant.

Police say that at 11:45 p.m. on Sept. 1, a man displaying a semiautomatic handgun demanded money from an employee behind the counter in Dunkin' Donuts at 120 E. Sunrise Hwy. The employee gave the suspect money and then the suspect left. The suspect is described as being 25-30 years old and 5-foot-6 with a medium build, light complexion, short dark hair, and dark brown eyes with a scar under his right eye.

Crime Stoppers and the Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are looking for a man wanted in connection with a robbery at a pharmacy in Deer Park.

According to police, at 11 p.m. on Sept. 22, a man entered the CVS Pharmacy at 1944 Deer Park Ave., jumped over the pharmacy counter and demanded prescription pain medication. The pharmacy clerk complied and the suspect fled in a white Ford Explorer. No one was injured in the robbery.

The suspect is described as being in his mid-20s, about 6-foot-2 and with a medium build. He was wearing a dark gray hooded sweatshirt, tan shorts and aviator-style sunglasses.
