Wanted: Graffiti incidents; stolen credit cards

Nassau County Police, its Crime Stoppers department and the Garden City Police Department are looking for information in connection to graffiti found in Garden City.

Police say between June and December 2012 various spray-painted tags were found within the Village of Garden City.

Anyone with information about persons involved can call Crime Stoppers at its toll-free and confidential hotline: 800-244-TIPS (8477), Crime Stoppers Unit Case No. 282-12. Crime Stoppers offers up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.


Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Third Squad detectives are looking for a man and a woman in connection with the use of stolen debit/credit cards at multiple locations.

Police say that on several occasions in December, the suspects used stolen cards to make purchases at: CVS at 20 Merrick Rd., Amityville; Lukoil gas station at 2 W. Montauk Hwy., Lindenhurst; CVS at 15 W. Main St., East Islip; and 7-Eleven at 1375 Brentwood Rd., Bay Shore.

The cards had been reported stolen in a burglary and a vehicle break-in.

The woman is described as being in her early 20s, with shoulder-length dark hair and a thin build. The man is believed to be in his early 20s, with a thin to medium build. He had short hair and was wearing a baseball cap.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000.00 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS (8477). All calls will be kept confidential.
