Wanted: Identity theft; Cash stolen at mall

Nassau County Crime Stoppers and the Nassau County Police Department are looking for unknown individuals in connection with identity theft in Valley Stream.

Police say that on Jan. 29 a victim's HSBC Savings Card was compromised and fraudulently used to make several purchases at Game Stop and Target in Valley Stream.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at its toll-free and confidential hotline: 800-244-TIPS (8477), Crime Stoppers Unit Case No. 41-13. Crime Stoppers offers up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.


Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Second Precinct Crime Section are looking for a man in connection with cash stolen from a kiosk in a Huntington Station mall.

Police say that at 9:40 p.m. on Dec. 6, a male suspect took about $200 out of a kiosk cash register at the Walt Whitman Shops. He then fled with a woman.

The man is described as being in his 20s, with dark hair and a chinstrap beard. He was wearing gray sweatpants and a hooded sweatshirt. The woman was described as having dark hair and a large frame. She was wearing glasses.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS (8477). All calls will be kept confidential.
