WANTED: Mall robbery; invalid credit card use

Crime Stoppers and the Nassau County Police Department seek help identifying two males in connection with a robbery in Hicksville.

On Jan. 10 at about 3:30 p.m., the victims, while inside their vehicle at 100 Broadway Mall, were struck from behind by a maroon Jeep. Upon exiting their vehicle, a suspect robber approached them and ordered them to get back into their vehicle. The suspect demanded their cell phones and keys and held the victims at gunpoint, while an accomplice removed items from the trunk. The men fled southbound on North Broadway. Stolen property included a Nokia X3 and AT&T HTC Nexus cell phones and an Apple iPad.

The armed suspect is described as 25-30 years old, about 5-foot-9, medium build, with a medium complexion and brown eyes.Anyone with information on the robbery may contact Crime Stoppers 800-244-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Fifth Precinct Crime Section seek help to identify and locate three persons who allegedly used an invalid credit card to purchase drinks at Applebee's restaurant in Patchogue.

On Oct. 19, a woman and two men entered the lounge of the restaurant, located at 499 North Service Rd., and ordered about 12 alcoholic beverages. When paying for the drinks, they allegedly gave the bartender an invalid credit card. The suspects left the restaurant without the credit card and without paying for the drinks.
