Wanted: Stolen wallet; jewelry theft

Nassau police and their Crime Stoppers department are looking for a woman who allegedly took a wallet from another patron at a Walmart in Valley Stream.

Police say that about 8:20 p.m. on Dec. 11, a woman's wallet with her credit cards was taken from the counter at the Walmart located near the Green Acres Mall. The woman was allegedly seen taking the wallet from the counter and leaving the store.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at its toll-free and confidential hotline: 800-244-TIPS (8477). Crime Stoppers offers up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.

Suffolk police and their Crime Stoppers department are looking for a man allegedly seen on a surveillance video taking merchandise from a Cold Spring Harbor jewelry store.

Police say that about 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 4, a man and a woman entered the Huntington Antiques Center at 129 Main St. and asked to see merchandise on a lower shelf at the Rachel Ahdoot jewelry dealership. When the owner and the woman bent down to look, the man allegedly took two pieces of jewelry from an upper shelf.
