Wanted: Suspects in violent robbery in E. Patchogue

Suffolk police and their Crime Stoppers unit are looking for help to find suspects in a violent robbery in East Patchogue.

In the early morning of Dec. 29, three men with handguns kicked in the front door of a Washington Avenue home and pistol-whipped three of the four people in the house. The thieves took cell phones, $500 in cash, a laptop computer and other items before leaving.

Within hours of the break-in, one of the victims' credit cards was used by a woman at stores in the Bellport, Medford and East Patchogue area. A vehicle seen by a surveillance camera at a gas station is described as a black 2005 or 2006 Honda Accord, two-door sedan. The woman is described as 20 to 30 years old with long dark hair. Although it was very cold outside, she is seen on video wearing a short-sleeve blouse with black and white stripes and tan slacks.
