of Uniondale has received the Superintendent's Outstanding Appreciation Recognition Award from Island Park public schools for his "exceptional work ethic, performance and commitment to excellence." Bennett joined the district 12 years ago as a bus driver and has served as a maintenance worker since 2004. "There are no better testimonials

than those from students and parents - they love him," Superintendent Rosmarie Bovino said.
