Just as the last bit of snowfall from Long Island's  first winter storm melts,  there's more snowy weather in the forecast.

A winter weather advisory is in effect for Nassau and Suffolk counties Thursday until 6 p.m., with 2 to 4 inches of snow expected to fall on the Island by Friday morning, the National Weather Service said.

Snowfall will begin around 9 a.m. Steady snow is expected throughout the day and may mix with rain over eastern Long Island before the ending late Thursday night.

Roads will become slippery, and  drivers are advised to use  caution. No delays are currently being reported on the Long Island Rail Road or at New York metro area airports.
