EAST RUTHERFORD - About 80,000 football fans will converge upon MetLife Stadium Sunday for Super Bowl XLVIII between the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks.

Giants co-owner Jonathan Tisch hopes the sports spectacle won’t be the last in New Jersey.

“Hopefully, when we do all the tallying for the weeks to come, the other 30 owners will say to themselves…’Let’s try and do this once every 10 years [at MetLife Stadium],’” said Tisch.

The big game has been hyped as Denver’s No. 1 offense against the league’s No. 1 defense in Seattle. Other storylines include the legacy of Denver quarterback Peyton Manning and the outspoken Seattle cornerback Richard Sherman, who dissed Manning’s passing abilities this past week.

Sunday’s forecast calls for sunshine followed by increasing clouds throughout the day. Temperatures are expected to be around 50 degrees.
