MTA weekend service changes: What to know before riding the subway

Here are all of the MTA weekend service changes you should know about.

Here's a look at the service changes from Friday night to Monday morning. 

No. 1 trains

Free shuttle buses will replace No. 1 trains between Rector Street and South Ferry in Manhattan.

Van Cortlandt Park-bound trains will skip 207th, 215th, 225th streets in Manhattan and 231st, 238th streets in the Bronx (5:45 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday).

No. 2 trains

Wakefield-bound trains will run express from Third Avenue-149th Street to East 180th Street in the Bronx (3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday).

Trains will replace No. 5 train service between 149th Street-Grand Concourse and East 180th Street in the Bronx (5:45 a.m. to 11:15 p.m. Saturday, 7:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday).

No. 3 trains

No trains between 96th and 148th streets in Manhattan.

No trains running overnight.

No. 4 train

New Lots Avenue-bound trains will skip 116th, 110th, 103rd, 96th, 77th, 68th and 51st streets in Manhattan (late nights).

No. 5 train

No. 2 trains will replace No. 5 train service between 149th Street-Grand Concourse and East 180th Street in the Bronx (5:45 a.m. to 11:15 p.m. Saturday, 7:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday).

Trains will run every 20 minutes between Bowling Green in Manhattan and 149th Street-Grand Concourse in the Bronx (6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday).

Bronx-bound trains will skip 138th Street-Grand Concourse (7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday).

No. 6 trains

Brooklyn Bridge-bound trains will skip 116th, 110th, 103rd, 96th, 77th, 68th and 51st streets in Manhattan (10:15 p.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday).

No. 7 trains

Hudson Yards-bound trains will skip 111th, 103rd, 90th, 82nd, 69th, 52nd, 46th, 40th and 33rd streets in Queens.

A trains

Downtown trains will make local stops at 155th and 135th streets in Manhattan.

Inwood-bound trains will skip 81st, 96th, 103rd, 110th, 116th, 135th and 155th streets in Manhattan (late nights).

C trains

168th Street-bound trains will skip 81st, 96th, 103rd, 110th, 116th and 135th in Manhattan.

Trains will not run between 145th and 168th streets in Manhattan.

E trains

Trains will run local in both directions between Queens Plaza and 71st Avenue in Queens.

Trains and free shuttle buses will replace J trains between Crescent Street in Brooklyn and Jamaica Center in Queens (3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday).

B trains

The B does not run on weekends or holidays.

D trains

No service at Seventh Avenue, 47th-50th streets, 42nd Street-Bryant Park, 34th Street-Herald Square, Broadway-Lafayette Street and Grand Street in Manhattan.

Trains run between Norwood-205th Street in the Bronx and 59th Street-Columbus Circle in Manhattan, along the A line between Columbus Circle and Jay Street-MetroTech in Brooklyn and along the F line between Jay Street and Kings Highway in Brooklyn.

F trains

No service at 57th Street, 47th-50th streets, 42nd Street-Bryant Park, 23rd Street, 14th Street, West Fourth Street, Broadway-Lafayette Street, Second Avenue, Delancey Street/Essex Street and East Broadway in Manhattan and at York Street in Brooklyn.

Service runs between Jamaica-179th Street in Queens and Lexington Avenue-63rd Street in Manhattan, along the Q line between 63rd Street and Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center in Brooklyn (skipping DeKalb Avenue during the days and evenings), and along the D line between Barclays Center and Stillwell Avenue.

Trains will run local in both directions between 21st Street-Queensbridge and 71st Avenue in Queens.

M trains

Trains run approximately every 20 minutes.

G trains

Free shuttle buses will replace G trains between Nassau Avenue in Brooklyn and Court Square in Queens.

J trains

E trains and free shuttle buses will replace J trains between Crescent Street in Brooklyn and Jamaica Center in Queens (3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday).

L trains

Normal weekend service.

N trains

Trains run along the R line in both directions between Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center in Brooklyn and Canal Street in Manhattan.

Free shuttle buses will replace service between Queensboro Plaza and Ditmars Boulevard in Queens.

Q trains

Coney Island-bound trains will skip Avenue U and Neck Road in Brooklyn (5:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday).

R trains

Normal weekend service.

W trains

The W does not run on weekends and holidays.

Z trains

The Z does not run on weekends and holidays.
