National Park Service reports 24 weddings canceled at National Mall due to government shutdown

Couples who were going to get married at national parks out west had to cancel their big day at the Grand Canyon.

YONKERS - The National Parks Service says 24 weddings that had been scheduled this month at memorials on the National Mall have been postponed indefinitely due to the government shutdown.

Other couples were going to get married at national parks out west, including a New Jersey couple who had to cancel their big day at the Grand Canyon.

The National Park Service says couples can reschedule once the government reopens.
