Strong, speedy edge rusher had four sacks in Suffolk semifinal win over Newfield.

L - Anthony Tavarone, Floyd, 5-11, 290, Sr.

Immovable force in middle. Also a valuable blocking back on offense.

L - Jonathan Desir, St. Anthony's, 6-5, 300, Sr.

Made 77 tackles, including 35 solos and three sacks as Friars' primary run-stopper.

L - Brian Rhodes, St. Anthony's, 6-3, 230, Jr.

Impressive pass rusher had team-high 10 sacks. Also made 74 tackles, 36 solos.

L - Victor Ochi, Valley Stream Central, 6-2, 225, Sr.

Sack machine, who recorded a career-high four in a win over Roslyn. Headed to Stony Brook.

LB - Michael Andreassi, Sachem North, 6-0, 205, Sr.

Superb two-way player was tackling machine, who also rushed for 16 touchdowns.

LB - Alex Gaviria, Islip, 5-11, 190, Sr.

With 115 tackles, set school career record. Won Collotta Award as Suffolk's top LB.

LB - Ron Denig, Newfield, 6-0, 195, Jr.

Punishing tackler and bruising fullback on best team in school history.

LB - Luke Miller, Floyd, 6-0, 195, Jr.

Made 93 tackles with three sacks. Also rushed for 915 yards and 15 touchdowns.

LB - Kevin Wahl, Farmingdale, 5-10, 185, Sr.

A ball-hawk on defense, but made even more noise on offense with 26 touchdowns (22 rushing, four receiving).

LB - Evan Kappatos, Syosset, 6-1, 235, Jr.

Became the first back-to-back Piner Award winner (Nassau's best LB) since Freeport's Clifton Smith in 1997-98.

LB - Rob Zorn, Carey, 5-10, 175, Jr.

Played sideline-to-sideline on defense and was one of a number of bruising backs out of the Seahawks' backfield.

DB - Preshod McCoy, North Babylon, 5-9, 175, Sr.

Two-way star was ball-hawking defensive back who also rushed for 16 TDs.

DB - Dalton Crossan, Sachem North, 5-8, 185, Jr.

Scored on fumble recoveries, interception returns and was a breakaway running back.

DB - Michael Richardson, West Babylon, 6-0, 165, Jr.

Could cover on defense and was hard to cover on offense as elite wide receiver.

DB - Mike Burton, Bellport, 6-1, 195, Sr.

Playmaker on defense who also caught three touchdown passes during playoff run.

K - Ryan Norton, Garden City, 5-10, 160, Jr.

Made 45 of 48 extra points, including 38 in a row, and 7 of 8 field goals (with a long of 40) for the Nassau Conference II champs.
