Courtney Love attacked during Uber protest

Courtney Love and her Uber driver were ambushed Thursday morning by taxi drivers protesting the car-hailing app in Paris. "They've ambushed our car and are holding our driver hostage. they're beating the cars with metal bats. this is France?? I'm safer in Baghdad," she tweeted, before calling out French President François Hollande to ask him "where are the [expletive] police??? is it legal for your people to attack visitors?"

French taxi drivers have been blockading major roads -- including the one to the Marseilles-Provence airport where Love was headed -- to protest the spread of the American app to their country, as it allegedly illegally encroaches on their business. According to her Twitter, Love eventually made it to the airport with the help of two motorcyclists.
